The name Prae is a variant of Per and ultimately refers to Perkwunos. Prae/Per to precede and to be ahead/over in ones surroundings (Alchemical concept), to be a leader, commander and a teacher. Someone who controls and is likewise revered. (An Ubermensch, an Overman) (Many prefixes like it come from per such as pra, pre, pro, pru etc) Kwunos means striker, thunderer. Someone who strikes from above. Especially with lightning. Per(Prae)kwunos striker/thunderer from above who controls said domain with prowess. Perkwunos later changed to things such as Perun etc. Prae would be a perfectly valid form of this name.
