a shorthand way to describe a romantic couple comprised of asian/ east asian women and white men. there are a lot of possible explanations such as white men being seen as more masculine and asian women being more feminine and exotic, but it is a relatively common romantic pairing. it originated from a study by oxford university talking about why so many white guys and so many asian women get together.
