A city in Sri Lanka famous for being surrounded by big-ass rocks. Most famous being the Elephant rock which the city is named after. A little less known fact is that a sizeable chunk of the country's military are always people from Kurunegala and surrounding areas. This is denoted by a number of monuments dedicated to K.I.A soldiers scattered thought the city.
