The year predicted we cannot turn back climate change. If world governments do not act sooner in a combined effort to reduce carbon emissions by putting forth better farming techniques and planting more vegetation, the world very well may become a nearly inhospitable, carbon choked land of crowded people and flooded states and providences. The world may become fractured in its entirety. If Mars isn’t colonized sooner, it may not even be a viable option for humanity to take refuge as it would take billions and billions upon billions of dollars to send expensive spacecraft with expensive people to maintain over a several month trip along with technology and shelter transport. This could lead to global superpowers getting impatient and desperate for resources as most lands with rich natural resource deposits will be flooded leading to potential nuclear war and the eradication of humanity as a whole, leaving only a smoldering blue dot for extraterrestrials to look at for a moment.
