It's the word that can be used to decribe certain situations, where the comments (verbal or written) are removed to either deny its existance, create their own version of the event, or both, in attempt to benefit themselves. Alternatively, it can be used to describe certain people "disapearing" or going "missing" by certain groups mysteriously.
