To explain in a condescending, oversimplified, and often inaccurate manner, without regard to the fact that the explainee knows more than the explainer, usually done by a Jew to a non-Jew. Jewsplaining usually occurs on the topic of Zionism, anti-semitism, or the State of Israel. For example, a Jewish American who has never set foot in Israel could jewsplain the experience of Palestinians in Gaza to a Palestinian refugee in the USA, despite the Palestinian having more experience and live updates from family members in Gaza. Jewsplaining often frames the abuser as the victim and often includes accusations of anti-semitism and heavy gaslighting. Not all jewsplaining is done by Jewish people. As US President Biden has so firmly claimed, you can be a Zionist even if you're not a Jew. So it is quite possible for Zionists of all races, genders, or religions to feel it is their right to jewsplain. Related terms include whitesplain, straightsplain, and cisplain. The overarching thread is someone privileged explaining something to someone less privileged, about a topic the explainer knows less about.
