Defines an occasion in university commonly referred to as a class or lecture that does not qualify the expectations that the students have. These expectations are built based on the importance that is given to these moments in academic life. It feels like it is gonna be so special because it only occurs once a week, ( but be filled with intellectual heaviness, intense preparation,life changing content, and require a long digesting time). It is on multiple digital agendas in the students own agendas and in the social agenda, there is a room officially booked and a higher education individual leading the class. This class, repeated over weeks, has continuously the same impact on the students life's / career as a hangout or a casual get-together would have. The exercises that are proposed come in a format that adds to the feeling of casualty, lack of excitement, lack of importance and lack of commitment by the people involved. So with time, students start to associate these classes with hangout moments where talking about their own lifes while snacking and doodling is the focal point. This expression can be used in conversations referring to a class / event that will turn out very similar to a hangout :
