Noun 1. An act of betrayal or snitching which involves reporting to a higher authority, such as the police or FBI. 2. A pejorative used to refer to someone suspected of being an undercover cop, or someone who turns out to be an undercover cop. 3. A traitor to you or your friend group. Origin: Derived from the character O’Brien from George Orwell’s 1984, whom is known for betraying the main protagonist by reporting him to the thought police.
