Your Definition
Noun: a young, beautiful woman who claims to be your friend and takes advantage of your kindness, but will throw you under the bus once she’s through with you. Being a friend to an Adora is a one-sided relationship. Expect no mutual respect or affection. An Adora is an unwise emotional investment. You pour yourself into her, but you see no return. You give and give and give, but she only takes and takes and takes. She will NEVER give back. One can become emotional bankrupt falling for an Adora. You will only feel spent as you just keep investing over and over again. An Adora is a parasite in that she feeds off of your generosity. She is an apt definition of the Dead Sea Syndrome. You are also most likely a Second String Friend. Do not confess your feelings to an Adora. She will urge you to be honest with her, but instead of letting you down with compassion, she’ll turn your world upside down and make it a living hell. In Greek mythology, she would be a siren. Do not be tempted by her beauty or deceitful nature. Synonymous: parasite, leech, mooch, louse, sycophant, sponge, user, opportunist
