A person who is below average, and even upon further inspection still does not posses talents or useful knowledge. A synonym for waste of space, and generally used as hyperbole in conversation. In the same way, it’s essentially just a derogatory way of describing a person as useless. Of course, this is why it’s put in this sense. The word burner at its core is just a way of alluding to how useless they are, as if they existed only to burn out like a cigarette.
