The month of reckoning for the horrifying, spooky and uncanny is met by Terror Management Theory with nothing else contending– perhaps the skookum quietus himself, but what is really scarier than death? TMT takes focus on the concept of thanatophobia, man’s intense fear of death and the decay of dying. It theories we as humans forego “enlightenment” of our lights snuffing at the cost of ignorance, as I will soon forget– you will too. Our minds veer from in aversion the notion of an inevitable death. So instead all we do is said as a means of escape, to groove ourselves out of our miserable ruts of death.
