To hamsterwheel is any self-deception that a person uses to be unconscious of their own ongoing motivation. They're rationalizations for what we are doing so that we may more effectively conceal our true motivation from others. When actions are changed, a convincing alternative explanation apears out of the air, complete with an internal scenario. Exp: What do you call a man that wants to live in unhygienic object poverty, dressing like a hobo, cutting all family ties, playing video games and porn all night, molesting his own children and crippling the mother of his children, because he wants “young looking tits and vagina”? - a man that wants to “be loved for who he is”, ...not what he can provide.
