Simp is a shortened version of the word, Simper, which means to smile affectedly or coyly to ingratiate yourself, or bring favor to yourself among those who don't have any respect for you. To pander or play into someone's preference to gain approval. To exhibit fawning behavior, where you are excessively kind and complimentary to someone who has shown distain or dislike for you. It is a behavior that can be attributed to our primitive survival instincts and low self esteem because it shows we are desperately seeking approval and acceptance, even if its superficial, from those who have overlooked us or treated us poorly. It would be much better and more rewarding to invest this energy into finding a new group of people who genuinely appreciate you for who you really are. In a world of over 7 billion people, believe me when I say, they are out there, and they will welcome you into their lives. Blessed be.
