A specious trading expert. Someone who presents themselves as a trustworthy authority on some market but is not a professional, not practicing what they say, deceives those who trust them into purchasing products or services, and will psychologically manipulate the same people to maintain or spread their deceptions. Trading gurus can be characterized typically by their under education, self-help approach to psychology, spurious or complete lack of any market research, no proof of trading history, lack of success with their methods, pop-financial content, and promoting affiliates with no due diligence.
