"Am I Gay?" Quiz refers to controversial online pop-up mini quizzes that often appear as advertised on YouTube or other websites. Journalists have referred to them as controversial because upon testing them out , the quizzes have a bias in favor of tending to generally say "YES" upon completion of the quiz, regardless of the answers with a 60/40 ratio defaulting to yes. Members of the LGBT community have also expressed condemnation of such quizzes because the quizzes reinforce harmful stereotypes on young [impressionable] children, for example saying that boys who express hugs and affection to other boys are "gay" or that a girl finding other girls [aesthetically] appealing makes her "lesbian". Another one is saying that somebody with fluid sexual paraphilia is [automatically] gay. These quizzes use these harmful stereotypes to automatically assign "gay" onto a user, despite the actual sexuality of the user. The stereotypes are ironically homophobic.
