When you have issues with hearing and your ears, they are Earshoes, suggesting you are wearing shoes on your ears but really just have hearing issues and can't/haven't heard or have auditory processing difficulty. Example, Paul yells upstairs to Pete, 'Shit man, strewth it's straya'. Pete says (he heard), :the shit fan and spewed out every layer'. Paul knows Pete didn't hear right and tells Pete, 'you are wearing your ear shoes' and to 'take them off and to try again.'
