1) A large city in Eastern Ukraine adjacent to Donetsk. This is the third largest city in Donetsk Oblast, after Donetsk and Mariupol. The city has one of the largest engineering schools in Ukraine, the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The two cities of Donetsk and Makiivka are heavily intertwined, with the western border of Makiivka even reaching the city center of Donetsk. Just like Donetsk, Makiivka was overrun by Russian terrorists in 2014. In 2023, to start the New Year, Ukraine attacked a Russian base with HIMARS in Makiivka and killed over 600 Russian soldiers. They located the base because Russian soldiers forgot to turn off geolocation on their phones. The attack was so lethal because the soldiers were crammed into one building and stored all of their ammo in the basement. Makiivka is Ukraine. 2) Russian idiocy. In a base in this city, Russian soldiers were attacked because they forgot to turn off geolocation on their phones. The attack was so lethal because the soldiers were crammed into one building and stored all of their ammo in the basement. 3) A Russian word for nightmare, just like Vuhledar / Ugledar. This word for nightmare in Russian is known as Makeevka / Makeyevka , as Makiivka is the Ukrainian name of the city.
