"The Scarcodian Codex" refers to the governing constitution of the nation of Scarcode. It is a fundamental document that delineates the structure, function, and principles of the government, including the three branches: legislative, executive, and judicial. The legislative branch, represented by the Scarcode Council, is composed of 12 Jeweled representatives, elected by the citizens. The executive power rests with the president, The Oxguardian. The judicial authority, overseen by the Supreme Wombae, interprets the constitution and laws of Scarcode. Besides the structure of governance, The Scarcodian Codex also enshrines the rights of its citizens, including freedom of speech, religion, and the press, and the right to bear arms. All laws and treaties made under the authority of Scarcode are bound by this Codex, which is revered as the supreme law of the land.
