Jăh-BRŌH-nēē - <noun> (slang) - 1. A slang meaning distasteful, unpopular, or unsavory fellow. 2. One who embodies 'the art of sucking' in all forms. 3. An unpleasant person who displays several arrogant or obnoxiouis personality traits and possesses a flamboyant, loud, & abrasive personality despite lacking the merit, social credit, or physical prowess often associated with an alpha personality. 4. (ironic) A term of endearment used among friends in a teasing fashion. ORIGINS: Jabroni is NOT a new word, despite the claims of young people who recently discovered the slang. Jabroni has it's origins in the Eastern European and Italian neighborhoods of Philadelphia and New York in the 1950s and 60s as a slang for a goofball, asshole or jerk. The original slang shares a connotation with the genitals of a barnyard animal (swine) and may have been a play on the Italian word for pork/ham - 'giambone' In popular wrestling parlance, the word is associated with Dwane "The Rock" Johnson who used Jabroni as a derogatory slang towards other rival wrestlers in the 1990s. Dwane "The Rock" Johnson openly admitted, in several interviews, that he adopted the slang from famed 1980s WWF wrestler "The Iron Shiek" who was known to frequently use the slang term backstage at wrestling events in the late 80s. Jabroni also has a connection to the term "jobber" which is a little known wrestler brought into wrestling events specifically to lose to a higher billed wrestler/
