Someone who is just there in a group, being only a part of the background as if they were added in later as a filler. They do not do anything aside from following the group and are often treated as they do not exist or was meant to exist. In non-important instances, they become a normal person in the group. The term originates from the character Clay Simons who is a member of The Lost MC biker gang. He appears as a main character in the 2009 episodic expansion, The Lost and Damned for the 2008 video game Grand Theft Auto 4 and as a minor character in the 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V. During the cutscenes of The Lost and Damned, he was obviously added in after they were finished as he rarely has dialogue nor facial animations when he appears and even clips through people or warps through the scene. He furthermore does not interact with anyone and does not contribute anything to the scene or even the overall plot itself. During gameplay he is for the most part a normal person.
