It involves taking the derivative of the outer function with respect to the input variable, and then multiplying it by the derivative of the inner function with respect to the same input variable. For example, if we have a composite function f(g(x)) and we want to find its derivative with respect to x, we can use the Maggie Suspie method: Take the derivative of the outer function f'(g(x)) with respect to g(x). Take the derivative of the inner function g'(x) with respect to x. Multiply the two derivatives together: f'(g(x)) * g'(x). This method is also known as the "chain rule" in calculus, but using the term "Maggie Suspie" can be a fun and memorable way to refer to it.
