A standard operating procedure (SOP) is a set of step-by-step instructions usually Created by a supervisor to help workers carry out routine operations. SOPs aim to achieve efficiency, quality output, and uniformity of performance, while reducing miscommunication. These S.O.P.s are sometimes corrupted by higher-ups hell bent on proving their worth by placing said S.O.P. into a difficult to read and understand format and attaching their names to it in order to take credit for the work they did not do.
