A Neurodivergent Attachment, or ND/A for short, is when someone who is neurodivergent attaches themself to a character who is related to a special interest/hyper fixation. The person knows the aren't real, but sometimes may pretend they are for comfort reasons. Neurodivergent Attachments are healthy as long as they don't take up the person's identity or turn into a false reality. Alot of people see this as being clingy with a fictional character, and that's ok! It basically is that but alittle deeper. - holy-smokes carrd
