Not to be confused with mind-blindness. The inability to see certain things due to them being excluded from your vision by your brain. This is most common with things that obscure your vision or are unnecessary for you to see but it can potentially happen to anything. For some people, they will be able to see it after either looking again or having it pointed out to them but some people will still be unable to see it. Mental blindness can play a part in some optical illusions.
