A BushNeck is a person, generally a male from New Zealand that drives a beat up, muddy truck, wears fleece clothing, often no footwear and all they do is hunt, fish and work. A BushNeck is different to the sophisticated outdoorsman. BushNecks stay up late, wake up early, drink energy drinks and hunt and fish all the time. They are often extremely successful hunters and fisherman shooting lots of game and catching lots of fish. It is their rough, shabby appearance, bad language and complete lack of disregard for any sense of style or sophistication that sets them apart from other outdoorsmen and woman. Infact, BushNecks avoid and look down upon sophistication, style and flash, showy gear and clothing. BushNecks embrace beat up muddy trucks, torn clothes and bare feet. These things are a badge of honour and show where the BushNeck has been and what they have done. A rough appearance is also a statement in itself that BushNecks don't care what you think. They are happy with who they are and what they do and they don't want all the flash gear and fancy things. They live to hunt and fish and have fun and have no time or interest for pretentious things. "Bro, Josh is such a BushNeck man. All he does is go spotlighting deer and soft baiting for snapper and his truck is always full of rubbish and empty energy drink cans." "Bro I know. He's a straight BushNeck, but holy shit he shoots a lot of deer." "That's true, he does." by BushNeck February 25, 2023
