Puebla Mexico - located in east-central Mexico bordered by the states of Veracruz to the north & east, Hidalgo, México state, Tlaxcala & Morelos to the west, & Guerrero , Oaxaca to the south. The origins of the state lie in the city of Puebla, which was founded by the Spanish in the valley in 1531 to secure the trade route between Mexico City & the port of Veracruz. Día de los Muertos & Cinco De Mayo Are heavily celebrated here . Bataille de Puebla which took place on 5 May, Cinco de Mayo, 1862, near Puebla de Zaragoza during the 2nd French intervention in Mexico. French troops under the command of Charles de Lorencez repeatedly failed to storm the forts of Loreto and Guadalupe situated on top of the hills. The climate of Puebla is subtropical, with a dry season from November to April & a rainy season from May to October.
