Yonas is a character in the book of Malachi. Yonas was a righteous man who lived during the time of King Solomon. He was one of the twelve tribes that were chosen by God to be His priests and prophets. Malachi prophesied that there would come a day when all people would turn away from God and worship false gods, but Yonas would not follow this path. so, The Yonas is a term to describe a person that remains true to his or her belief.
