Noun An act of public handshake that seemingly never ends. It occurs most commonly when two people in positions of authority both attempt to assert their dominance over the other through the handshaking action. Historical references: the handshake between French President Macron and US President Biden. Also, the handshake between French President Macron and former US President Trump. Verb To grasp someone’s right hand in your right hand, hold it tight, and to manhandle or to do as you like with it, in an expression of dominance. Usually accompanied by an additional series of touches performed by the left hand - with the left hand joining the adjoined hands, and/or touching the arm or shoulder of the person opposite. It is possibly a mating ritual employed as a diplomatic way to assess to sensual finesse, strength and stamina of a potential mate; more research is needed. Alternative definitions Someone who gets off on shaking hands. A special type of hard on one gets from the act of shaking hands.
