Otherwise known as a male-to-male extension, death, or suicide cord. A widowmaker cord is an extension cable with a male plug adapter on either end. The cord gained this nickname from electricians because if one side of the cord is plugged into a power reciprocal, the other end is left exposed at mains voltage. These cables have been banned for sale in many places, often being used for electrical generators.
