Acronym for "Husbands and Boyfriends and Wives and Girlfriends." This is a spin on WAG, "Wives and Girlfriends," which was coined for the glamorous female partners of sports players. HABs was therefore a spin on the term, "Husbands and Boyfriends" for female sports players. HABAWAGs combines the two terms. It can be used by professional female athletes (more often in a joking way), because there are many LGBT+ female professional athletes, so it can be common to see both male and female partners at a game. It can also be used at sports games where players are mixed-sex, or sometimes in men's sport if there is an openly LGBT+ player.
