When you're punished for the actions of your ancestors that were obviously doing something wrong but were never punished and as the world evolved and society banded together to acknowledge and right those wrongs, yet someone, stupidly, at some point, continued that wrong, either on purpose or "accidentally", is severely punished for their actions, by issuance of a raincheck. Part of the Cancel Culture movement.
