A bowler using their quick wit and presence of mind to catch a cheating batter in the act. The bowler strikes the bails of the non striking batter as in a run out because the batter has left the crease before the ball is bowled. Some professional players believe that since it shows quick wit and presence of mind by the bowler under high stress, the wicket should be awarded to the bowler unlike in regular run outs.
