A gozo is a period of recalibration between two new lovers who have committed to spend their lives together. It is often within the first few dates as the couple are finding how to be together when differences of opinion or misunderstanding arise. A gozo could be mistakenly misunderstood by one of the parties as an annihilation or an unrelenting targeted attack of criticism on him but is in fact some loving communication to help the individuals understand how to find compromise. It's often found to happen between two very headstrong people who utterly adore each other but are also quite set in their ways. As a gozo unfolds it is lucky if the recalibrating conversation is helped along and makes its point with a timely freaky thick black hand hair appearing that one of the lovers makes some weird story up about it belonging to the other person because he knows some girl is New Zealand or Australia or Hawaii or South Africa somewhere that it happened to (I mean...what?). Ultimately a gozo is inevitable as it is part of the process of bonding two lives and families together with commitment, support, strength, love and equality. It paves the way for a happy fair family life and smooths the path in front for the couple
