A "comfy" game is a video game that has a low level of required frequency and intensity of player input. To play the game to a reasonable level of success, the player does not always have to pay attention to the events on the screen, nor input constant commands to the game. Many simulation, management, and automation games are "comfy". Examples of "comfy" games include Factorio, RimWorld, and Cities: Skylines. You can eat a meal, watch a show on a second monitor, or work on another program while these games are running -- they don't require constant keyboard, mouse, or controller input. Examples of non-comfy games include League of Legends, Counter-strike, and Skyrim. These games may not be able to be paused at all, or they require nearly constant player input for the game to progress. If you try to eat a meal, watch a show, or work on another program, your character will most likely die, get stuck running into a wall, or stand around doing nothing.
