A flirtfriend is someone you have a flirty relationship with without being romantically or sexually involved. You know they like you, they know you like them, you flirt a lot, hug, arouse each other and occasionnally make out. But one or both of the persons are either on the ace spectrum, shy or like to take it slow and playful so it doesn't escalate in a sexual relationship (sexfriends or lover) and you're not looking for romantic connexion. It's a really sweet and playful kind of relationship that can go on for years while escalating and deescalating from cuddle, to kisses, back to flirt without touching, then making out, etc
