Simply defined as, 'the will to create.' Artists and creative individuals experience heightened periods of inspiration whereby the urge to produce creatively is reflected in the terminology of artsy libido. The will to produce creative work is not dissimilar to the peaks and valleys of an individuals sexual desires, thus, making artsy libido or the ('will to create') humorous and ironic terminology. While artsy libido may be perceived has having overtly sexual overtones, when used, the terminology is simply referring to ones ability to produce art and not to engage in sexual intimacy.
