Abbreviation for the European Union, one of the biggest steps towards peace on the European continent. It is one of the richest regions in the world, after the United States. It is also a very diverse region, full of lovely people and languages. Although some people criticise the inefficiency of political discussions in Brussels (the capital of the EU, also Belgium and NATO), they often forget that the US was the same way when it started. But yes, it is mostly the Franco-German couple who speak and the others who obey..... Except at the UN where EU representatives cannot speak with one voice (when they do it is a proof of devastating strength). It has also faced crises, such as immigrants during the Arab Spring, the Brexit (by the way, the UK is in trouble because of it, they became poor and Northern Ireland wants to leave). So we can sum up the situation as follows: good idea but not enough political strength.
