A bit is a quick to sometimes medium length (If it's really funny or you get too carried away) joke, act, gesture, character performance, or anything you can do which is out of the normal for a reserved personality or formal conduct, intended to be humorous or to spice up a social setting. Examples of bits include, but are not limited to: Pretending a slow moving car is going to run you over, lying down and declaring "It's all over! Kiss me gently Angel of Death!" When asked if you are a racist, and are comfortably not a racist, you put on a smug face anyway, raise an eyebrow and say "Yes".
