The most man video game character since Doom Guy. In God of War (2005), Kratos is tasked with killing Ares, the God of War, and Kratos' former master, who tricked him into killing his own family. Kratos succeeds and takes Ares' place as the God of War. Not too long later, Kratos is betrayed by Zeus, sending him on a crusade against the gods of Olympus, which results in the deaths of all the gods and the destruction of Greece. In the latest installment, God of War 2018, Kratos is now living in Scandinavia and sets out on an adventure to spread his second wife's ashes with his son Atreus. However, he is hunted by Baldur, the son of Odin, and Magni and Modi, the sons of Thor. Kratos kills them all, but this sparks the wrath of Thor, and the start of Ragnarok, the end of days.
