In MOBA games, shotcalling is when one calls out everything that's happening on the minimap, their teammates, and especially enemy activity. It is usually the teammate playing the tank role that does a shotcall. Shotcalls are important, since they let the entire team know about the opponent, what their plans are, while also notifying the team's status; therefore each member of the team is notified of everything that is happening that they might have missed. This also helps the team make right decisions on what to do next.
