Stephen Hawking is a brillant astro and theoretical physicist, most known for his study of black holes, his book A brief History of Time, and his illness ALS, which has left him almost completly imobile. His other books The Universe in a Nutshell, a Briefer History of Time, Black Holes and Baby Universes and Other Essays, On The Shoulders of Giants: The Great Works of Physics and Astronomy. He is also a pop culture icon, due to his physically disabled status, his status as one of the leading scientists of our time, and his computer that he uses to talk by pressing a variety of symbols for sounds. He has been in the shows Star Trek, Family Guy, The Simpsons and Futurama among other shows. There is also a rapper, M.C. Hawking, who uses his voice synthesiser to make lyrics. Stephen Hawking, known also for his wit, takes these in good humor.
