Since most people seem to not understand what Latina is, I will say this as an exasperated woman of Latin heritage myself. "Latina" is a woman who is of Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, South American or Caribbean descent. No, it is not exclusively used for women that come from Latin America. No, we don't all sing Despacito and twerk 90% of the time. I am Latina and I hate the song, we aren't all trashy, we aren't you cleaning ladies, and we aren't the white persons costume. Stop butchering beautiful Latin languages, and stop telling some of us that we don't "look" Latina enough. We aren't all brown-skinned, we aren't all black-haired, and we don't only come from the Caribbean. I have curly dark hair, I am olive-skinned and tan, and I am Italian. Italian and Portuguese women are also Latinas, deal with it.
