To be ‘Teen-Titanified’ is when a spin-off is made for a cartoon, live-action show or movie (usually with some relatively mature themes). Said spin-off always uses a ‘chibi’ art style to depict the characters as much younger and abuses an excessive amount of crude humour to appeal to an audience [significantly] less mature than what [the original] show was intended for. The word comes from the ‘Teen-Titanification’ of the original 2003 Teen Titans when the spin-off ‘[Teen Titans Go]!’ was created, due to it’s success it urged many other companies to do the same with their shows, leading to a visible trend in cartoons aimed at younger viewers.
