TL;DR: A Roblox Sonic fan game that was issued a DMCA by SEGA after its creator--Doctor Rofatnik--was publicly accused of engaging in sexual misconduct with minors in a video by industry journalists at People Make Games. A Sonic the Hedgehog fan game that was being developed on the Roblox platform by Warhead Entertainment. In it you could play as a multitude of characters from the sonic franchise--most of which were locked behind paywalls--including but not limited to Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and even some comic characters like Scourge. Sadly for the project and fans, Sonic Eclipse Online's lead developer "Doctor Rofatnik" was accused of being a pedophile. Seeing that this was backed up by various sources complete with screenshot evidence, the game became a massive point of controversy. This, combined with a number of former developers coming out and sharing their less than adequate experiences working for the company, lead to a journalistic piece being published by People Make Games which put Warhead Entertainment in the hot seat. Shortly after this video's publishing, SEGA Corporation issued a DMCA toward the Sonic Eclipse Online project and Roblox officially removed the game from their platform.
