In the survival game rust, a grub is a low-tier player (although people near endgame may still do things considered "grubbing" to get loot or mess with other players) who employs underhanded tactics such as door camping, shotgun traps, double-barrel dashing, and general pussy shit to get loot they need to progress. A permagrub is someone who, no matter how much loot they have, continue to grub as they prefer the playstyle or have gear fear. Also applies to other survival games like Tarkov and Dayz.
