Dharma means ‘everything in its right place’ just as Karma means ‘a things journey to its right place’. Dharma is a state of balance. Dharma associates with King Damuz after whom the Babylonian-Assyrian city of Damascus is named. Damuz taught a philosophy of civil and natural Order, necessary for the stability of urban living which at that time involved inner-city urban agriculture to create siege-proof self-sufficient city states.
