Being Attracted to villains. It could be the very act of being bad or sinful that draws an individual to be attracted to one. Villains are often driven be goals that people may empathize or sympathize with e.g. the death of a loved one, power, or the very act of being liberated from the rules normal individuals are subjected by. In addition often people may admire traits which is a villain exhibits that a viewer wished they had. They can be quite charming, seductive, and manipulative. They can also be sources of tragic circumstance or a fallen hero or anti hero. TL;DR Villains can be attractive because the represent sin, power, lust , etc. They can also be victims of tragedy or a fallen hero or anti hero.
