T.A.W. Meaning “tire around waist.” This saying is usually meant for a thick person. This is also a common slang used for husbands. The saying T.A.W. isn’t typically used on an individual who is single. It’s generally used for someone who is married or a spouse; someone in a committed status or is “taken.” When the said thick person (husband) sits down, you can see an imaginary “tire” around their waist, but it’s really the fat around their waist, formed to look like a tire.
