A HSP is a highly-sensitive person. HSP means that a person is overly sensitive, they feel emotions deeper than people that aren't HSPs. Their environment can overwhelm them, e.g., too much lighting or background noise. They also react strongly to many things, such as insults our things that are "just a joke". Many HSPs can't understand violence and why people are mean, but that's not a bad thing. They just want the world to be a better place. HSPs feel a strong connection to nature, art and animals. HSPs are commonly told to "grow a thicker skin," "just take a joke" or "you're so sensitive,". In many cases, non-HSPs will call them crybabies. That's not the case whatsoever, HSPs just feel emotions deeper than other people. They are similar to empaths.
