ATAY (means "Tea" in Moroccan dialect) also known as Moroccan mint tea pronounced as "A-TA-AI" Is a green tea (Gunpowder) prepared with spearmint leaves and sugar. ATAY is central to social life in Morocco. The serving can take a ceremonial form, especially when prepared for a guest. It is a sign of hospitality. ATAY is consumed throughout the day as a social activity too ,but it’s more than a normal tea, it is a culture and tradition.
